If you check out my first training and diet log from 2005, you will see that I spoke a lot about being too busy with school to be able to train as effectively as I wished. Some may look at this as an excuse, but I believe that I was 100% justified with feeling the way that I did. All throughout 2001-2005 I would bulk up during the summer and as soon as school hit once again, I would lose all the gains I made during the year, only to repeat the cycle again after April final exams were over. Once I finished school (full time at least) in April of 2005, I have not yet seen a recurrence of this problem. These days, I always maintain 185-205 and in good condition. Not contest condition, but by no means am I fat either.
This summer of 2007, I plan to go back on the same type of training schedule which I have always seen progress on. I plan to make up a five day split consisting largely of barbell and dumbbell movements and throw in a few machine movements for good measure. By September 2007, I expect to be at 205 again at a height of 5'9 and still in respectable condition (i.e., not fat). I expect to follow a training split similar to the ones found here in the five day splits section of the training splits database:
5-Day a week Training Splits!
I also expect to go on a diet similar in both calories, meal frequency, and meal types as the one I used in 2004:
I also plan to be on a full pile of supplements this summer and frankly can't wait to get on a huge stack! I am currently using the following supplement:
XYIENCE NOX-CG3 REVIEW
I will discuss the results of the supplements and my day-to-day progress with them in the individual pages of my log (see calendar above). I will only be using Xyience NOX-CG3 for the first week or two to see if I notice any difference. I will keep everyone posted of course! I've only been using it for two days, but I did notice great pumps from it so far.
I also use a variety of protein powder and weight gain supplements:
Now for the anabolic supplements! I'm going with the best in the business. I got a free sample of SIZEON from Gaspari Nutrition's national sales rep Tom at the 2007 Arnold Classic and LOVED it. I made incredible gains off it, basically gaining and keeping about 10 pounds and I saw significant improvements in my pumps! My strength improved, although not to the degree in which my workouts improved due to superior pumps.
In addition to SIZEON, I also plan to use SuperPump250 and Novedex XT, completing the Gaspari Triple Anabolic Arsenal! Since SIZEON worked so well alone, I am convinced that my results will be all that much better if I use the full Gaspari stack!
So to sum things up, my entire routine for the next three months will consist of the basics: basic weight training, hard and heavy, in bodybuilding fashion, a solid healthy diet, and proven supplements to make for a great clean bulk. I am using this routine because I have done so in the past and always attained great results. I don't expect things to be any different this time out either. I'm hoping for a great summer and I'll keep you all posted!
