REVIEW OF WALDEN FARMS CARAMEL DIP

So you have been on a pretty clean diet for a few months now and you are still having those cravings for something sweet. Some people allow themselves a cheat meal once a week to help keep them motivated and stop their cravings. Why sacrifice the loss of hundreds of extra calories which can add up to pounds of fat a year just to enjoy something sweet. Caramel dip by Walden Farms is a sugar free, fat free, calorie free, cholesterol free, carbohydrate free, gluten free and guilt free. Having cravings is for me the worst part of being on a diet especially when cutting out entire food groups for some periods of time to just to lose a couple pounds.
The caramel dip made mostly of water, thickening agents and sucralose for sweetness is a one of a kind product you do not find very often. As far as appearance goes it looks and moves just like the real thing. It is thick and dark coloured that could fool almost anyone. The smell alone would make you think it was warm thick and sugar rich caramel sauce poured all over you fat free frozen yogurt dessert or even just in your breakfast yogurt cup or cereal. There are seriously thousands of possibilities when it comes to this miracle sauce. I have done everything from dipping apple slices to actually mixing it in with coffee to give it a hint of sweetness and caramel sauce.
Luckily for all of us sucralose is the only "safe" labelled artificial sweetner out there. Meaning it does not break down into any negative by products in the body. Other sweeteners like aspartame do this and can be very detrimental to the health and well being of an individual. Just an interesting fact for any of you who think once you get this caramel dip by Walden Farms that you will go crazy and never stop eating it and become ill. "According to the Canadian Diabetes Association, one can consume 15 mg/kg/day of Sucralose "on a daily basis over a...lifetime without any adverse effects". For a 150 lb person, 15 mg/kg is about 1 g, equivalent to about 75 packets of Splenda or the sweetness of 612 g or 2500 kcal of sugar."(www.wikipedia.com). If that does not make you feel good about this product I do not know what will.
As far as snacking goes this product really helped me eat apples, after a while an apple a day can not only keep the doctor away but also your appetite for apples. Slicing them and dipping them in the caramel dip was a great change up and tasted great. If you have any cravings or you are finding your diet boring try buying Walden Farms Caramel Dip to satisfy your appetite needs. With only trace calories and 20mg of sodium I cannot find any negative qualities to this product. For only $3.99 it is well worth it to perhaps cut out that 1000 calorie a week cheat meal that can add almost 15lbs to your weight over a year without proper excercise.
