REVIEW OF UNIVERSAL SHOCK THERAPY

UNIVERSAL SHOCK THERAPY
Universal Shock Therapy's claim was ridiculously long, so I only included the first part of it.
Specialized Pre-Workout Booster Extreme Pumps And Energy!
I wouldn't call the pumps I experienced "extreme." However, I did experience a noticeable increase in workout energy.
If you are looking for a pre-workout shake that will help power you up for the gym and make you feel like hitting the plates, wait no longer. The nitric oxide (NO) activators, creatine and stimulants in this formula will energize you while helping to make you look more vascular and gain size.
I noticed the usual amount of vascularity. NO products don't seem to have a major impact on my pump or vascularity.
Shock Therapy can actually motivate you to get into the gym and hit the weights! Unlike many of the other pre-workout NO products on the market, we include an antioxidant complex that is essential when taking nitric oxide stimulating ingredients, due to their oxidative nature on human cells. Now you can have the "perpetual pump," the intense workout you crave, and keep your body safe from the free radicals that are produced as a side effect of the nitric oxide activation process.
I agree that it's important to keep free radical damage under control. I'm glad to see a product that takes that into consideration, if even to only a limited degree.
Why should you choose Universal Nutrition's Shock Therapy? It Works. If you want to get energized and motivated in the gym, Shock Therapy is for you. This formula will make for some very intense workouts that will help you put up more weight and will ultimately result in mass gains.
This product does increase workout performance (more on this in the category entitled "effectiveness"). However, whether or not you gain mass in the gym has little to do with this product, and more to do with diet and style of training (reps, sets, intensity, weight).
Your body will feel pumped all day from the blood rushing to your muscle tissue delivering needed nutrients for real growth.
It's three hours after my workout and my body no longer feels pumped.
We don't use any sugar so there is no worry about fat gains. We use the best ingredients, from creatine all the way to our antioxidant blend. You won't find another product like Shock Therapy; it is truly unique amongst pre-workout energizers and cell volumizers.
You may not find the exact same product as Universal Shock Therapy. However, you will find many pre-workout energizers similar to it.
It has a better formula. Shock Therapy uses R-ALA to help shuttle the creatine and nitric oxide stimulating components into circulation, whereas the competition either does not use any form of alpha lipoic acid or uses the standard ALA, which has been shown to be less effective than R-ALA. Many individuals do not like to ingest aspartame and prefer sweeteners such as sucralose. Shock Therapy does not use any aspartame, while some of the other popular products do.
I'm not a fan of aspartame, it makes me feel nauseated.
I felt that Universal Shock Therapy's claim was misleading in several areas. Therefore, for the claim, I award Universal Shock Therapy a 4/10.
I sampled the Grape Splash flavour of Universal Shock Therapy. I found that it had a bitter grape taste that was not particularly enjoyable. Therefore, for taste, I award Universal Shock Therapy Grape Splash flavour a 3/10.
I felt that Universal Shock Therapy had adequate solubility. Also, Universal Shock Therapy had a texture similar to that of water. Therefore, I was fairly impressed. As a result, I award Universal Shock Therapy an 8/10 for solubility/texture.
As noted above, I noticed an increase in workout performance (more energy). However, I noticed a heavy crash within a few hours post-workout. This could be due to the meal prior to taking Universal Shock Therapy. The meal was high in carbohydrates (both complex and simple). The addition of simple carbohydrates mixed with the caffeine in Universal Shock Therapy could have caused the crash. Therefore, I won't pin this entirely on Universal Shock Therapy. However, I would recommend limiting simple carbohydrate intake prior to taking Universal Shock Therapy (within a reasonable timeframe of course). Therefore, for effectiveness, I award Universal Shock Therapy a 7/10.
I felt that Universal Shock Therapy's claim was misleading. I wasn't impressed with the taste. However, I found the solubility and texture to be adequate. Also, I was happy with the effectiveness of Universal Shock Therapy. Therefore, for an overall review, I award Universal Shock Therapy Grape Splash flavour a 5.5/10.
