The Sugar Busters Diet has been around since the mid 1990s. The
diet is based on the concept that sugar is toxic and high levels
will cause an increase in body insulin levels which will put the
body in a weight gaining state. As a result, most sweets are not
allowed in this diet.

40% fat and 30% carbohydrate system. Portion sizes are also not

This diet eliminates junk food from your diet by eliminating
sugar. It also gives people a good idea as to what is healthy to
eat and what is not. In other words, it helps people to gain good
eating habits, which is certainly a good thing. It also doesn't
limit the portion sizes, which will hopefully make the diet easier
to follow for everyone.

This diet is not scientifically proven. Also, if sugar were toxic,
it would seem pretty clear since it is not possible for people to
be allergic to sugar. Presumably, it it were toxic, we would not
need a theory proposed to realize that.

This diet helps a great deal to eliminate unhealthy foods
containing high sugar content from your diet. The only problem is
that it also eliminates healthy foods which are in no way a diet
problem. Meeting somewhere in the middle, ie, reducing unhealthy
foods from your diet and keeping the healthy ones, is the best way
to succeed in dieting. Otherwise, this diet is not bad, but could
stand for a little adjustment. Also, keep in mind that it is based
on the incorrect theory that sugar is toxic and high glycemic index
foods are not healthy, neither of which have any scientific
merit.
