Standing Biceps Cable Curl - Description:


Purpose:

[1] To develop the biceps.

Execution:

[1] Stand straight in front of the cable machine and grasp a bar attached to a low pulley. Use a medium grip with your palms facing towards your body.
[2] Curl the weight up until the bar is at shoulder level and lower it back down then repeat the movement for your desired number of repetitions.

Tips:

[1] Exhale as you curl the weight up and inhale as you lower the weight back down.
[2] Keep your elbows close to your body during this exercise.
[3] Keep your upper arms stationary during this exercise. Only your forearms should move.
[4] Squeeze your biceps at the top of the range of motion.
[5] You can also perform this exercise using a cambered bar or single handles.
