SIX STAR MUSCLE PROFESSIONAL STRENGTH ENERGY BAR
The product of this review is "Professional Strength Energy Bar" produced by Six Star Muscle. Although the flavour states it is Double Chocolate Chip, it tastes like a jumbo piece of crap.
Currently, the webmaster of my favourite supplement website, which is http://www.bodybuildingpro.com, does not carry this item. The only reason I was able to try this product was because he was good enough to take me shopping for supplements for me to review as the rest of his other items he received with the last shipment have either already been reviewed or bought; so this is great to keep me under his payroll until the next order comes in.
As I am obligated to provide further details on this item, even though I feel that it is a waste of time to do so because the product / flavour is so crappy. Anyway, the weight of each bar is the same size as the average chocolate bar, 43g, and of that 1.5 ounce item, I got the following information: good fats and bad fats are about the same proportion-wise, one-third of the weight is protein and another third is carbohydrates. Further, 1g of the bar is fibre and 7g of it is sugar; specifically 4g of the sugar is constituted as sugar alcohols while each individual product has 20mg of cholesterol and 190mg of sodium. The amount of calories of 170 is quite low for energy bars so products with around that amount of calories are ideal for taking after workouts.
Some more information is that for allergies, this supplement contains milk, soy and egg as well as might contain various proteins, nuts and seeds. A cute little message is provided on the label of each of these bars which reads: Serious bodybuilders, mixed martial artists and athletes always need to keep their bodies primed for performance because in such extreme sports, every second counts. Six Star Professional Strength Energy Bars are loaded with high-quality protein and energizing carbohydrates needed for peak muscle output and recovery. And they're packed with mouth watering taste, so you don't sacrifice flavour for fuel. The reality is that the mouth-watering taste is actually from a result of hardcore vomit coming back up from the awful taste and that this bar does sacrifice flavour for nutrition / fuel.
Further information indicates this supplement is both naturally and artificially flavoured and it contains sucralose so based on these facts alone, I claim that this product is a low-end nutritional supplement as most other similar products carried by other companies are much better for you.
I rate this product a 5 out of 10 because I am sure it works well enough for a low price so that is a 4 out of 5 but as for the taste I absolutely give it a 1 out of 5 as I could not even finish the bar.
