POWERBAR HARVEST (PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE CHIP)
The Claim:
Sometimes a quick and nutritious kick start is just what you need to hit the ground running.
I wouldn't recommend any supplement to replace a nutritious breakfast. However, as far as meal-replacement bars go, PowerBar Harvest has a nice variety of carbohydrates, proteins and fats to give you a bit of a quick. Furthermore, it contains an array vitamins and minerals.
So grab a PowerBar Harvest® energy bar. It's got the same energy and nutrition that powers world class athletes, but that's not all. Each of PowerBar Harvest® bar's ten great flavors is loaded with whole grains and real fruit, chocolate, or peanuts. And each delicious bite is sweetened with natural sweeteners like honey and fruit juice.
This all sounds good, and in reality is pretty good. However, people on low carbohydrate diets should be aware that PowerBar Harvest contains approximately 45 grams of carbohydrates per bar. Also, approximately 20 grams of these carbohydrates are in the form of simple carbohydrates. This isn't necessarily a negative aspect because it will provide helpful energy to power through your day. It's something to be aware of though.
PowerBar Harvest® energy bar is a moist and crunchy handful of delicious nutrition and delivers an impressive, balanced array of nutrients and contains nothing artificial - no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives:
- 45 grams of carbohydrates, 2-4 grams of fiber and 7 grams of protein
- 10 essential vitamins, including 100% RDI of antioxidant vitamins C & E

No preservatives in a meal-replacement bar is a rare and impressive feat. However, according to the ingredients list on www.bodybuilding.com, some PowerBar Harvest bars contain slightly different ingredient profiles than what is listed above. That being said, they are all relatively close.
Sure, PowerBar Harvest® bar is perfect in the morning, but it also works great as a nutritious snack to help keep you at your peak throughout the day. Stash some in your glove compartment, desk drawer, briefcase, backpack, wherever! PowerBar Harvest® bar will be there whenever you need some great-tasting energy to put some "kick" back in your day.
I believe PowerBar Harvest is a great in-between meal snack to sustain energy levels.
I felt that PowerBar Harvest's claim was very truthful. Therefore, for the claim, I award PowerBar Harvest a 9/10.
Taste:
I sampled the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavour of PowerBar Harvest. I found that it had a pleasant chocolate chip flavour. Also, I detected a wheat taste to it. Overall, I was pleased with the taste. Therefore, for taste, I award PowerBar Harvest Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavour an 8/10.
Texture:
I found that it had a somewhat grainy texture. Also, it had an enjoyably chewy texture. Therefore, for texture, I award PowerBar Harvest an 8/10.
Overall Review:
I was very pleased with the honesty of the claim. Also, PowerBar Harvest had a good taste and a naturally enjoyable texture. Therefore, for an overall review, I award PowerBar Harvest Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavour an 8.5/10.
