Victor Martinez

Below is one of the best side chest in bodybuilding today. It should also be noted that this is not just one strong muscle for Victor Martinez, but that he is thick and shredded from head to toe in this pose (from chest to hamstrings. Victor looks great, even at a high contest body weight, and a shape like that is something you find in your DNA, and not in a training program. I expect big things from Victor in the future.

Craig Richardson

I felt that Craig Richardson had been overlooked last year, including his performance at the 2004 Mr. Olympia Contest, but this year he is doing well. With a chest as striated as that, and with quads as shredded and full as his, a bodybuilding fan would have to expect that he would place way up there. It's nice to see that he did this time around.

Capriese Murray

Capriese Murray looks good in this pose, with the exception of his high and sudden lats. He has definitely packed what appears to be more muscle than you would expect he can comfortably hold on his frame, and with no end in sight to his growing. It's nice to see he earned a ticket to compete at the Mr. Olympia Contest and time will tell how well he does.

Chris Cook

Chris Cook is the new great white hype - he's the good looking poster boy for bodybuilding and has been hyped in much the same way as Gunter Schlierkamp has been. Can he deliver? I think that he has the potential - but he must be under a lot of pressure right now, and hopefully that doesn't have an adverse effect on his contest preparation. If he continues to improve he can easily take bodybuilding as far as he wants to - including the Mr. Olympia stage.

Luke Wood

I was extremely impressed with the showing of Big Luke Wood from Australia. Luke is one of those lesser known bodybuilders who would probably place higher if his name were more out there in the bodybuilding media. I was mostly impressed with his size and how well he compared with the competition. I don't see much at all that this guy is lacking and I have a feeling he may be a breakthrough bodybuilder very soon. At 29, he has plenty of good competition days ahead of him.

Bob Cicherillo

Bob Cicherillo has some of the most incredible vascularity I've seen, yet lacks the density of many other bodybuilders - some examples include Ronnie Coleman, Johnnie O. Jackson, and Shawn Ray. Bob had a a cameo appearance in the hit film Dodgeball and I think Bob has future plans in Hollywood. He may need to slim down for that task, but I think he has the potential for it.

Paco Bautista

Paco is one freaky bodybuilder. He has tons of mass and tons of cuts - his only flaw is his genetic shape, which unfortunately for him, goes a long way in bodybuilding. In any event, he has some of the best legs in competitive bodybuilding today, including his glutes. He can still make improvements and in my opinion deserves a trophy just for being so freaky, but unfortunately against other freaks who have better shape, Paco will have a hard time winning pro shows. Needless to say, he is a freak among freaks.

Mustafa Mohammad

Rounding off the top 10 is Mustafa Mohammad. There were some rumours circulating Mustafa's time in New York (READ MORE), and once again, Mustafa got screwed. I feel he should have placed higher - how this man is not placing consistently in the top six is beyond me. He was also second from last place at the 2004 Arnold Classic, which just blows my mind. Greg Kovacs was the only one who placed behind Mustafa at that show. Hopefully he gets his due reward soon.
