Darrem Charles

Darrem Charles won the show - Darrem has an athletic look and a look that a lot of bodybuilding fans would like to have for everyday life. He has freaky muscularity without being too freaky and it looks like he is comfortable at his weight. However, Darrem's strong point is conditioning and not shape perse. His lats are are somewhat high and somewhat high and sudden which is pronounced in his front double biceps and his arms are fairly short. That having been said, I feel he has excellent symmetry overall, despite not being among the best in bodybuilding history.

Ahmad Haidar

Ahmad Haidar placed a very respectable 2nd place in the contest. The IFBB seems to be awarding more aesthetically pleasing physiques, and Ahmad certainly has one. That having been said, not all the mass monsters have poor physiques, and it is still quite possible to maintain good lines and symmetry along with size. Ahmad looks great at his current weight and condition, so he will likely try to repeat his current form in contests to come without playing the size game too much. Since he is doing well in contest at his current size, he has no reason to.

Victor Martinez

Victor Martinez placed behind two competitors who were smaller than him, presumably on the basis of condition. Victor came in off at the show, and despite being huge, he wasn't as cut as he had been previously (most notably at the 2004 GNC Show of Strength). Had he spent another week or two on his diet, he could have won the show - Victor is mass with class; he is both huge and shapely, which is often rare amongst bodybuilders today. Victor is definitely somebody to watch out for in the future. Of course, potential is a blank canvas and only time will tell.

Craig Richardson

Craig Richardson was overlooked at the 2004 Night of Champions where he placed 7th. This year he got a fair placing with his 4th place finish. Overall, Craig is extremely balanced, full, and shredded. His chest in particular has some of the craziest striations I've ever seen in bodybuilding competition.

Capriese Murray

Capriese Murray is new on the pro scene and he placed a very respectable fifth place, earning him a spot at the 2005 Mr. Olympia Contest. Time will tell how well he does in the professional ranks, but he's off to a good start as it is now. He has quite an X frame in the front lat spread, although his lats are high, he has huge quads and good form in that pose otherwise.

Chris Cook

It was obvious judging from previous photos of Chris Cook that he had a very productive offseason, and he did well in the show by placing a respectable 6th. He has enormous quads and excellent size in his arms. His lower back had previously been a weak point, but it's clear that he has improved that area. If he continues to improve on his weak points he has the goods to do well in the pro ranks.
