Hi. My name is Steven Sidorski and the product I am reviewing is called 6 Hour Power Shot. On the label it says New Formula, Stacker 2 and Black Jax. This product was made by NVE.

To order for the lowest price, find more, nutritional information or compare to other similar products go to http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/nve/black.html. There is quite a resemblance between 6 Hour Power and Yellow Jacket Shot. I would prefer the latter because it tastes better. However, neither of these compares to 5 Hour Energy; which is only slightly more expensive.

My advice would be for you to not waste your time buying either of these inferior products made by NVE Pharmaceuticals and instead send the owner of http://www.bodybuildingpro.com an email via Webmaster@BodybuildingPro.com and tell him to start carrying 5 Hour Energy. If enough people write him he has no better choice than to start carrying this as well. Give him a week to respond and if he does not than you have my blessing to find the others. 5 Hour Energy is worth the extra few dollars. Not only it tastes way better but is also addicting.

Although I cannot possibly trash these sad products by NVE further without the use of profanity and although I cannot logically discourage you anymore from buying 6 Hour Power by NVE, some of you will buy it anyway. So as for directions and for "Ultimate Power"; drink the entire contents of the bottle at once. For a "Jolt of Power", drink half of contents or less. Recap to drink the remaining later. No refrigeration is required. Discard any unused shot after three days.

When I did a comparison, the ingredients of 6 Hour Power and 5 Hour Energy was almost identical. The only difference that I can see is that 5 Hour Energy has no carbohydrates and thus has 0 calories; although it does not have Ascorbic acid / Vitamin C. The energy blend, enzyme blend, and the all-important B vitamin content are identical.

On the other hand, like 5 Hour Energy and other energy shot drinks, 6 Hour Power delivered the same powerful boost to my energy and alertness levels that I receive from the other quality energy shots on the market such as 5 Hour Energy. Also, and maybe this is just me, the product truly seems to also be a mood enhancer. I absolutely seem to see the brighter side of life when I do a shot of this stuff. Perhaps it can be a cheaper and healthier substitute for alcohol. For example, I find activities are more interesting, music sounds better, my sense of humour is enhanced, and even normal interactions with other people are more likely to make me smile. It is almost like a legal happiness drug, which these days, is a very good thing. If you try this, please let me know if you experience anything similar. I'm guessing that you will.

In closing, 6 Hour Power contains no more caffeine than a cup of coffee so there's no crash later. So, if you want the energy / alertness boost of 5 Hour Energy or 6 Hour Power, make a choice. Again, the main problem I have with NVE 6 Hour Power and Yellow Jacket Shot is the inferior taste to 5 Hour Energy. If you don't care about taste I have no other reservations against NVE.
