Introduction:
In keeping with the spirit of reviewing a large volume of supplements for this site's archives, I have decided to review the Met-Rx Big 100 Colossal Brownie Bar. I have not reviewed this product before although I did review the Met-Rx Big 100 Colossal Bar. I was a big fan of the bar, so I thought that this product would be fairly similar and I would like it equally and it would be a good review to add to the site's database here on BodybuildingPro.com
The Claim:
The fresh baked taste of MET-Rx Big 100 Colossal Brownies makes it hard to believe that each one is packed with 30g of protein including MET-Rx's exclusive METAMYOSYN and 0g trans fat.
I am rather impressed with the protein content that this product contains which is a lot for a protein bar, and especially for a brownie which would be closer to a dessert for some people. I have reviewed another product by Met-RX called Ultramyosyn which you can check out if you are interested in seeing the quality of protein products that Met-RX has produced.
Unbelievably delicious, these High Protein Brownies microwave hot in just 8 seconds. Available in Super Chocolate Fudge and Peanut Butter Delight.
Initially I did not consume this product heated but I decided to microwave it to see how that would turn out and I would say that it was a great idea to do and much better than eating it cold. I only tried the Peanut Butter Delight flavour which was fine but I have a feeling that the Super Chocolate Fudge flavour is much better and I look forward to trying it in the future. I normally prefer chocolate flavoured supplements over peanut butter flavoured ones and I think that this will be no exception. If I do end up trying the chocolate flavour, I will report back here with the results of that experience.
Overall I would say that the product claims are mild and accurate. I say mild because I did not consider them to be bravado filled claims as so many supplement companies make. Claims that that annoy me and I find are rarely fulfilled so more realistic claims are superior in my opinion and in the case of the Met-Rx Big 100 Colossal Brownie Bar, I find the claims to be accurate. 9/10
Taste:
As I mentioned above, I only tried the peanut butter flavour brownie and I thought it was alright as far as peanut butter bars/products are concerned although I would have much preferred to try to chocolate flavour. I thought the brownie was much better when heated and I am very impressed that such a high protein product can taste as good as it did as some taste pretty horrible. 7/10
Nutritional Content:

Price:
If you click on the links included on this page, you will see that these bars cost $24.89 for a box of 12. That works out to slightly more than $2 a bar which is fairly good for similar products available in the supplement market today. 7/10
Overall Review:
Overall I think this is a good product which tastes alright and is well priced. It has good nutritional value, especially for a dessert-type protein product and contains a good amount of protein which will be of interest to bodybuilders and other hard trainers. I look forward to trying the Chocolate Fudge flavour in the future which I think would be much better than the Peanut Butter Delight flavour. Overall I would award this product a score of 8/10
