Description


Purpose

(1) To develop the quadriceps.

Instructions

(1) Sit on the leg press machine with your feet about shoulder width apart. Grasp the handles.

(2) Bend your knees and lower the weight as far as possible.

(3) Slowly push the weight back up using your heels instead of your toes.

Tips

(1) You do not need to lower the weight so far that your knees touch your chest. (2) Do not lock your knees at the top in order to keep continuous tension throughout the range of motion. (3) Changing the foot position changes the particular part of the quads being worked.
