Description


Purpose:

(1) To develop the chest and triceps.

Exercise Data:

Main Muscle Worked: Chest

Other Muscles Worked: Triceps

Equipment: Flat Bench or another raised surface.

Mechanics Type: Compound

Instructions:

(1) Place your hands on a flat bench or another raised surface, slightly wider than shoulder width apart.

(2) Place your toes on the floor and keep your legs are straight. Ensure that your body forms a straight line from your shoulders to your ankles.

(3) Lower your body towards the bench or raised surface your body is being supported on. Bend your elbows until your body nearly touches the surface.

(4) Now push your body up, reversing the motion.

(5) Repeat.

Tips:

(1) If you wish to reduce the intensity, you can push your upper body up from your knees.
