Incline Dumbbell Flyes - Description:


Purpose:

[1] To develop the chest.

Exercise Data:

Main Muscle Worked: Chest
Other Muscles Worked: Triceps, Shoulders
Equipment: Dumbbell
Mechanics Type: Compound

Instructions:

[1] Sit on an incline bench with a dumbbell in each hand.
[2] Lie back and use your knees to raise your arms over your chest.
[3] Ensure that your wrists are rotated so that they are facing one another.
[3] Maintain a slight bend in your elbows and keep your torso stationary on the bench.
[4] Inhale while you lower the dumbbells to your side in an arch-motion much like you are hugging a tree.
[5] Bring the dumbbells back up throughout the same range of motion.
[6] Repeat the movement for the desired number of repetitions.
