Description


Purpose

(1) To develop the front and side deltoids.

Instructions

[1] Hold a dumbbell in each hand and sit on a military press bench. Place the dumbbells upright on top of your thighs.
[2] Raise the dumbbells to shoulder height with your elbows out to the sides and palms facing forward.
[3] Lift the dumbbells straight up until they touch each other at the top.
[4] Lower the dumbbells until your upper arms are parallel to the ground. Some prefer to lower the dumbbells as far as possible.

Tip:

[1] Use less total weight than you would for normal barbell military press.
