Description

Barbell Wrist Curls

Purpose

(1) To develop the flexor muscles (inside) of the forearms.

Execution

(1) Take a barbell with a close, underhand grip. Rest your forearms on a bench or your knees (preferably a bench for stability).
(2) Bend your wrists and lower the weight toward the floor. When you can no longer lower your wrists, open your fingers, and allow the barbell to roll down.
(3) Lift the weight back up without moving your forearms, then lift your hands up (moving your forearms) to complete the range of motion.

Tips

(1) By using a bench you can lock your knees to your forearms to stabilize the motion
