Description


Purpose:

(1) To develop the chest and triceps.

Exercise Data:

Main Muscles Worked: Chest

Other Muscles Worked: Triceps, Shoulders, Lats

Equipment: Barbell

Mechanics Type: Compound

Instructions:

(1) Lie on a flat bench with your head over the end and your feet flat on the floor.

(2) Hold the bar approximately 14" apart.

(3) In a semi-circular range of motion, lower the bar to the floor slowly and as far as possible.

(4) Bring the bar back up in the same arch.

Tips:

(1) Keep your head down and do not raise your hips.

(2) Dumbbells may be used in lieu of a barbell. One single dumbbell may also be used in the bent-arm dumbbell pullover.

(3) May be performed with a straight bar or a cambered (EZ) bar.
