REVIEW OF ALLMAX NUTRITION QUICKMASS

ALLMAX NUTRITION QUICKMASS
Formulated Based On Research At California State University!
Interestingly, they didn't provide a reference for this study in the marketing advertisement on bodybuilding.com.
QuickMass has been scientifically formulated for the hard-gainer and serious athlete seeking rapid gains in lean body mass. QuickMass provides 1010 calories per serving with 56 grams of OCTA-PRO protein, 7.8 grams of Glutamine, 5 grams of Fibersol-2, Zero Trans-Fats and a revolutionary Calorie Activation Technology called NP5.
As you can see, there is a sh%t load of calories in AllMax Nutrition's QuickMass. Also of interest, AllMax Nutrition's QuickMass recommends that you take it for an "8 week period" in its directions. However, if taken as recommend, 10 lbs (the largest size) will only last you 9 days! Furthermore, if you were to fulfill this 8 week period, you would need more than 6 containers, which equals out to over $400! As we understand, AllMax Nutrition is a company, their goal is to increase profit. Not surprisingly, this means that they want you to consume as much as possible, as quickly as possible, so that you can buy more. Contrary to AllMax Nutrition's instructions, I wouldn't consume this supplement any other time than pre-workout or immediately post-workout, unless you would like to achieve unnecessary fat gain.
QuickMass provides 1010 calories per serving, an amount Clinically Proven (based on 2 servings per day) to significantly increase fat-free mass and muscle strength. During one 8-week study performed at California State University, test subjects provided the same calorie content as 2 servings of QuickMass gained 4.5 times as much fat-free mass and increased chest size by one inch.
Don't be fooled. This is a weight gainer, and like many other weight gainers, will likely cause fat weight gain if abused (used too frequently). Be sensible and ignore the hype. I found that AllMax Nutrition's claim for QuickMass was a bit misleading. However, it also contained a lot of truth as well. Therefore, for the claim, I award AllMax Nutritions QuickMass a 7/10.
I sampled the Strawberry-Banana flavour of AllMax Nutritions QuickMass. I found that it had a light strawberry and strong fake banana taste. I'm not a big fan of this mixture in any supplements that I've tried it in. That being said, I was able to consume the entire beverage, which was mixed in water according to the directions. However, I would not want to consume this flavour on a daily basis. Personally, I would prefer one of the other flavours. I find that it's difficult to go wrong with flavours such as chocolate, vanilla, and cookies and cream. Therefore, for taste, I award AllMax Nutritions QuickMass's Strawberry-Banana flavour a 5/10.
In a blender, AllMax Nutritions QuickMass appeared to blend relatively well. It didn't mix as well as a whey protein powder. However, this is understandable because most whey supplements only contain 100-200 calories, whereas AllMax Nutritions QuickMass contains 1010 calories per serving. I found that AllMax Nutritions QuickMass had a thick and relatively smooth texture. Therefore, for mixability/texture, I award AllMax Nutritions QuickMass a 7/10 (in comparison to other weight-gainers).
In comparison to other weight gainers, AllMax Nutrition's QuickMass has a good variety of carbohydrates [5 DE Maltodextrin (135.6g), Fructose (19.9g), Fibersol-2™ (Resistant Maltodextrin)(5.1g)].
Also, AllMax Nutrition's QuickMass has a great variety of proteins [Whey Protein Concentrate (44.4g), Whey Protein Isolate (CFM)(5.1g), Micellar Casein (4.7g), Calcium Caseinate (2.9g), Hydrolyzed Whey Protein (2.6g), Egg Albumen (1.3g), Milk Protein Isolate (0.6g), Sodium Caseinate (0.4g)].
Moreover, I feel that AllMax Nutrition's QuickMass has a good variety of fats [Enzyme Modified Sunflower Oil Powder (4.9g), Hi-MCT Coconut Oil Powder (4.7g), Medium Chain Triglyceride Powder (2.5g), Borage Oil Powder (Seed)(80mg), Flax Seed Oil Powder (20mg), Clarinol™ (Conjugated Linoleic Acid Powder)(CLA)(10mg)].
Furthermore, AllMax Nutrition's QuickMass is loaded with a similar amount of creatine as you would find in some pre-workout boosters (appears to be about 2 grams). When we take all this into account, you should expect 1010 calories of this spectrum to increase workout performance noticeably (if taken pre-workout) or greatly aid repair if taken post-workout.
Therefore, for effectiveness, I award AllMax Nutritions QuickMass an 8/10.
As stated above, I was satisfied with the claim. I found the taste of the Strawberry-Banana flavour to be unsatisfactory. On the bright side, AllMax Nutritions QuickMass appeared to mix relatively well and had a thick and relatively smooth texture. Furthermore, I was happy with the effectiveness of AllMax Nutritions QuickMass. However, I found that it did make me feel bloated, probably due to the high amount of calories. Therefore, for an overall review, I award AllMax Nutritions QuickMass a 6.5/10.
