AllMax Nutrition IsoFlex Bars Review By Steven S.

Introduction:

My name is Steven Sidorski and the supplement I am reviewing is the "Isoflex triple layer protein isolate bar" produced by Allmax Nutrition. The flavour for this review is chocolate caramel crunch. My first impression was not very good as I had a hard time opening it up in the middle and was unsuccessful in doing so. That resulted in the bar being ripped into two pieces.

Next, I opened the bar to see that there was caramel located all over the sides of the bar and it made this bar stick to the packaging. The second strike went by as the flavour tasted very awful. Then after I reviewed the nutritional information, I found this bar to be very inferior to a comparison of the PowerBar with any flavour they offer. For a better alternative please check http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/pow/power.html I was unable to finish this bad Isoflex bar.

Per 85g Isoflex supplement bar, you get 320 calories and 100 of those calories from fat, 11g of fat and 5g of that being saturated fat, no omega fats, 1.5g polyunsaturated fat and a higher 2.5g of monounsaturated fats although there are no trans fats or cholesterol. Unfortunately, the amount of sodium nearly is two and a half times the amount of potassium which makes me question that this bar is made by a company which claims to sell nutritious supplement bars. Further, 40% of this bar is carbohydrates and only 1g of it is fibre as they spell it fiber so they cannot even spell certain and important nutritious words correct. I would rather eat Raisin Bran.

I rate this bar 3 out of 10 as the nutrition was a 2 out of 5 and the taste / packaging got 1 of 5. This is the lowest rating I have ever given for a supplement, and I have rated pills, powders, bars, liquids and even gels.

My feeling is that this product tastes so bad the company is desperate to have people taste test it. Try and look into it but I am not guaranteeing a free taste test.
