AllMax Nutrition IsoFlex Bars Review By Steven S.

This review is for the supplement bar known as IsoFlex that is formulated by AllMax Nutrition. The flavour I am giving my opinion for is called chocolate marshmallow fudge. Unlike the chocolate caramel fudge flavour this bar tastes exceptionally good. I really cannot stop eating it.

To be more specific, the label guarantees this bar to be 100% quality and potency. I like that combination and before I give it a rating, I will review the nutritional information and the taste.

The first thing you notice once you peel the wrapper, there is a dark tasty chocolate coating that covers the entire bar. When you take a bite, you will actually notice that the bar looks better on the inside than it does on the cover. Perhaps this is because there is not as much marshmallow as indicated on the package and that it looks like it has peanuts on the inside as well. No two bites are the same taste or texture. In summary, this bar pleases the taste buds hands down and is the best Isoflex bar I have ever tried!

As for the nutritional information per 85g Isoflex supplement bar; you get a whopping 31g of protein, 330 calories with 110 of those calories from fat, 12g of fat and 6g of that being saturated fat, 3g of healthy fibre, 2g polyunsaturated fat and a higher 4g of monounsaturated fats and only 5mg of cholesterol and only 1g of sugar and there are no trans fats. Fortunately, the amount of potassium is nearly one and a half times the amount of. As a result of these facts, this bar stands at an above average or average level in nutritional quality; considering its status as a protein bar.

However, one problem with these bars is that they have a sugar alcohol amount of 21g. Here is some important information about sugar alcohols: These sweeteners are neither sugars, nor alcohols, but they are carbohydrates nonetheless. They are more slowly and incompletely absorbed from the small intestine than sugar, thus producing a much smaller and slower rise in blood sugar and consequently insulin. Sugar alcohols do have carb calories, and the body will use these as fuel, or store as fat. Side effects include the fact that sugar alcohols are not completely absorbed so they hold on to a lot of water in the bowel which causes diarrhea. Another consequence is that when undigested carbs reach the colon, the normal bacteria increase highly resulting in unpleasant gas, and bloating.
