Description


Purpose

(1) To isolate the biceps of each arm.

Execution

(1) Stand upright, with a dumbbell in each hand, and arm's fully extended down. Curl one weight forward and up.

(2) Lower the dumbbells down, along the same range of motion, until the arms are fully extended. Resist the weight on the way down to emphasize the negative.

Tips

(1) Keep your elbow steady at your waist to stabilize the motion.

(2) Curl the weight as high as you can in order to develop the bicep's peak.

(3) Fully extend and contract the arm to get a greater range of motion, and squeeze the biceps through the entire range.
